This place was highly recommended by my coworkers so we stopped by for a quick meal during lunch hours. It was difficult to find parking as there are signs everywhere with restrictions so make sure to check all the signage. It was pretty busy around 12pm but we were able to get seated right away. This isn't your ordinary Chinese food restaurant; this place specializes in Yunnan style, which means lots of spices and herbs. For 4, we ordered: - Fried rice with green pepper, boletus & beef: 4/5 - Deep fried pork ribs w/tomato sauce: 5/5 - Yunnan small pot w/noodles: 4.5/5 - Sautéed beef & cilantro: 3/5 - Stir fried Chinese flowering cabbage: 5/5 My spice tolerance level is pretty low so I was only able to enjoy half of these dishes without suffering. I did like that each item didn't lack in seasoning but actually had very rich flavors.

Very happy with all the food we ordered today! it's from the same restaurant group as shang cafe and hunan impression so expectation was high! the menu isn't as extensive but all the dishes we ordered were pretty good! stand outs were: -pork liver with chinese chives, super flavorful chives and very tender pork liver! perfect combo -sour papaya fish soup, it def opens up your appetite and it's a very light yet full of flavor soup! give you a ton of fish slices in there too service was good and the speed of getting your dishes was pretty fast my ONLY complaint is nothing was spicy lol

I'm very excited about the news that one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in the Bay Area just opened another location in Cupertino! I took my friends there to check out this new spot. Unfortunately, they only accept reservations for parties of 8 or more. The place was busy on a Wednesday night, and we waited a little over 30 minutes to be seated. So if you go during rush hours, you'll most likely need to put your name on the waitlist. The restaurant has a modern design, and the staff was friendly. We ordered several dishes, and we really enjoyed everything. The signature grilled fish was very flavorful, the chicken broth with wild fungi was soothing, the fried rice was light with perfect texture, and it paired very well with the well-seasoned shredded potato. The fried pork rib was crispy, and I loved the mint touch on top!

Restaurant has been open for a few months now but the wait time is still long, which isn't a bad thing! Just means the food is good. They specialize in Yunnan cuisine, although they also have a selection of Hunan dishes. I would say 80% of the menu is spicy food, so come prepared. All of the dishes we've tried have been flavorful and tasty. It's probably not the cheapest chinese restaurant around, but the portions are big. Same owners as Hunan impression and Shang Cafe, and some of the menu items overlap. Again, the wait time for dinner/weekends can get pretty long and I believe they don't have an online yelp waitlist at the moment, so be prepared to wait 30 mins to an hour for a table.

This is a very fine restaurant with offering that aren't commonly found in other Chinese restaurants in the area. It's a shame that they don't have a website to read about their dishes; you can find their menu on DoorDash but the interface is clunky. I guess you'd call this a Chinese fusion restaurant, encompassing multiple culinary traditions such as Yunnan, Sichuan, and Hunan. You won't find the familiar things like chow fun and fried rice here; rather, you'll discover ingredients such as wild mushrooms, pork liver, beef tripe, pig knuckle, and frog, just to name a handful. Basically, this is a good place to come if you're feeling a little adventurous. On our recent visit, just the two of us, we ordered the sauteed pork with black fungus and egg and pork liver with chives. Generally speaking, we really appreciated that the dishes were neither overseasoned nor oversalted, which can kill an otherwise promising meal. The pork and black fungus dish was very delicious, though the use of small jalapeno peppers for the heat, as opposed to red chili peppers, seemed a little out of place. The texture of the black fungus (a little bit of crunch) was nice. The pork liver was also prepared well, though the chunks of ginger, if you don't realize you're taking a bite, can overwhelm the flavor. The liver was thinly sliced so that even if there was a piece that was slightly tough it was still easy to bite through. The chives had good flavor; the Chinese chives gave it a nice kick as well. The restaurant has a very simple decor, modern and unadorned with the kitschy stuff that sometimes appears in Asian restaurants. There was a curious wall of glass between the dining area and a work area, but you didn't see the cooks hard at work behind the glass - just some supplies and extra chairs. I don't see the point of this at all. Service was just okay. You order with a QR code on the table. Someone did come by to confirm our selections, but other than dropping off some extra napkins and bringing us the card reader to pay (which they just left at the table), there was virtually no interaction with the restaurant staff. No one looked our way when we needed to get our takeout boxes, so we had to call out to a dazed-appearing server who was walking past our table.

Good food, good service but a bit of a wait. It was a busy lunch time but service was still on point. Our waiter was patient and introduced dishes to us. Restaurant was relatively clean with simple decor. When it says 3 peppers on the menu item, it is legit spicy. But they also had non spicy dishes which made it good for a family. The dessert was our favorite. Will be back again.

All the food was good. The Stir fried beef was my favorite. We also got the Fried rice with green pepper, Yunnan style ham and Fish soup. Wait is ok if you go early! Luckily we had Chinese speaking people with us but if you don't it might be hard. It's QR code order but if you have questions theres a language barrier. Food comes straight to your table once ordered. Service was fast but neutral, not necessarily friendly. Very busy and hectic. Inside was clean though and modern! Private lot in back.

Just as good as their other locations! Similar to others the interior is gorgeous and simple. Very happy to say that the food at this location is just as consistently delicious as their other locations in Fremont! Highly recommend visiting here if you're in the South Bay! We tried the frog, lamb, and pork knuckle. All of them were incredibly good and perfectly spicy! I'll be sure to return as soon as I'm near the area.

Order through their website which is accessed via QR code, and they bring the order to your table. The food came fast even though our table ordered many items. The lunch crowd is busy, lively, and loud -- so it was good! My favorites were the braised pork and the fried whole fish! Very good portions and such a great range of flavors. We also ordered a rice dish to supplement the meats, and we also started the meal with one order of the sliced beef flank with mint. Nothing we had was a flop!

I'm not exactly sure what kind of food Ping's is within the sphere of Chinese regional cuisines, but it sure is delicious. I came here for lunch on a weekday and there was a wait. As you'd expect as the food really is quite good. But after around 10 minutes we were seated. I won't go into every dish as we ordered a lot, but Ping's covers a lot of bases. They have spicy and mild dishes, meaty and veggie dishes, simple/clean and fatty/strong flavors. Just so much to enjoy. I think you'd need to come multiple times to try everything you'd want on the menu. Service was fast once we ordered, just our table was hilariously too small for all the food. Some of my dining companions, like myself, ordered everything they wanted without regard to their ability to actually finish it. Oh well, leftovers are good too. The staff were nice and the place is relatively new and comfortable and clean. There is a parking lot but it can be tight and it isn't very big. They take credit cards, which is nice.
